albuquerque balloon fiesta

The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta is a must-see event. Each year, hosted in Albuquerque, New Mexico, this event features hundreds of hot air balloons taking to the sky in a gorgeous display. The festival has more to offer than just pretty views, with vendors from all over setting up for the nine-day experience. There are musical performers, rides, events, and more.

The festival garners thousands of visitors each year, meaning that finding a campsite with views of the festival can be difficult. We’ve rounded up the best RV camping locations with views of the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. Of course, keep in mind it’s always best to make a reservation for these sites well in advance, as the festival can draw quite the crowd.

Be aware that many RV sites near Albuquerque, New Mexico, offer monthly rentals instead of short-term options. If you’re looking for an extended stay in the area, these can be great options for you and provide lower rates. But, of course, short-term spots are usually in high demand, so making advanced reservations may help you avoid last-minute panic right before the balloon fiesta.
