Taos, NM, and Carson National Forest
Taos, New Mexico is located at the Northern end of New Mexico and is the perfect place to start (or end) a New Mexico road trip. This city is home to incredible landmark sites like Gorge Bridge and Taos Pueblo, as well as arts and culture locations that are sure to stun.
Fans of the outdoors can experience water rafting, as well as incredible hiking locations. Of course, our stop of choice is Carson National Forest, which is perfect for camping and is an ideal RV stop should you find yourself in the area.
Santa Fe, NM, Pecos National Historic Park, and Valles Caldera National Preserve
Nicknamed “The City Different,” Santa Fe is a must-visit location. The history of this city can be felt at every turn, and the eclectic arts, foods, and entertainment options are stunning. You’ll never run out of things to do when you visit this showstopper of a town.
A beautiful blend of ancient history and upcoming artists, you can easily hike to historic locations like Pecos National Historic Park, then come back into town to partake in some recent history in the form of a wine tasting or decadent restaurant.
Circle back to Valles Caldera National Preserve to experience the beauty of the night sky as you’ve never seen it before, as this National Preserve is protected from light pollution, allowing you to experience the night sky in its full glory.
Albuquerque, NM
Albuquerque, New Mexico has so much to offer, we didn’t need to pair it with another location: you could spend a full vacation exploring this incredible city. It’s no wonder Bugs Bunny always takes a wrong turn after leaving this iconic location, with so many sights, smells, and sounds to enjoy, anyone would find themselves dazzled by this city!
Not only is there an incredible wealth of arts and entertainment options throughout the city, including hot air ballooning, but Albuquerque is also attached to Route 66, making it the perfect tee-off for a longer vacation exploring that historic route.

Roswell, NM, and The UFO Museum and Research Center

Visitors should check out the UFO Museum and Research Center or attend one of the UFO conventions held yearly in the city.
